4 Ceremony Spaces
Our private property boasts four ceremony sites and outdoor wedding venues for exchanging vows, plus a rain backup plan. How do you even choose one? These include the 360° Edge of the World Site, Viewing Deck at the Villa, Grand Oak Tree, and Meadow Hitching site. Most of our couples choose the 360° Edge of the World Site or the Viewing Deck at the Villa.
Our Mountain Modern Villa
Stay the night with your besties. Make s’mores and lounge at the Pool and hot tub. Wake up to the sunrise over the Sierras with yoga and Pachamama coffee. The Mountain Villa includes a Bridal Suite, two guest rooms with ensuites, a terrace room, a garden room, four restrooms, a butler’s pantry, a laundry room, a larger kitchen, and a living room. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen at any other Sacramento wedding venues.
The Vineyard Club Reception Space
The Vineyard Club features gorgeous vineyard views and soft, sexy lighting indoors—it’s the party pad. It’s modern AF with lots of open space, gardens, games, fire pits, and hanging basket swings.
Plus, Endless Photo Opportunities & Backdrops
And let us not forget about all of those photo ops! Onsite features include an architectural Greenhouse imported from Vancouver, a Salt Infinity Pool and spa, vineyards, 150-year-old Black Oak Trees, meadows, and desert landscaping.

We had our wedding at Black Oak, and it was hands down amazing! The Villa is maintained well and modern, and the staff was very pleasant to work with! Not only is the barn amazing, but the property is surrounded by huge oaks and beautiful views of the mountains! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for any event!

Absolutely beautiful wedding reception venues! We hosted our wedding in the barn at Black Oak Mountain Vineyards, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Our wedding day was drizzly and chilly, but with our smaller reception, the barn could accommodate our guests and keep them comfortable with the heat. This venue is truly magical and breathtaking, after we toured this venue we knew we didn’t need to look anywhere else and nowhere else would compare. Jane was wonderful and helpful during the tour and just as great to work with throughout the planning process. I loved that they had the farmhouse tables I always dreamed of! As requested, the staff did a wonderful job setting up the ceremony and reception tables and chairs. Everyone we encountered and worked with was kind and worked with us to ensure our day was perfect. It is truly a beautiful wedding venue site with amazing views!

Wow, where to start?? Jane and everyone at BOMV was so kind and caring with our wedding process from our first tour to the big day and beyond! We visited 14 (!!) venues and considered 20 more, but we went with BOMV because it was number one in beauty, customer service, amenities, and value!! The venue is so stunning that we only needed minimal decor and let the natural and architectural beauty shine through. We used the hilltop ceremony site, the Villa for cocktail hour, and the vineyard club for the reception, and doing so made the day feel like it was three events in one, with each part offering something unique. Jane and the BOMV team were always so quick to respond to our millions of questions and provide helpful information which gave us reassurance throughout the whole crazy wedding planning processes. We stayed with our wedding party in the Villa the night of the wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made because we had SO much fun and really wowed everyone with the gorgeous estate. Thank you BOMV for making our big day so perfect! We hope to have a reason to visit soon ❤️

Of course! We understand the importance of ensuring your guests are comfortable with you on this special day. At Black Oak Mountain Vineyards, we have several options to make your family feel at home.
- On-Site Accommodations
- Our property provides stunning on-site lodging for up to 22 people. This works well for close relatives or friends at the wedding party who would like to participate fully in all aspects of the celebration.

I’m from out of town. Is there anywhere else near Sacramento worth visiting and experiencing?
There is so much to see and do! You could spend the entire weekend at Black Oak lounging or head out to Tahoe or over to taste wines. We can help you plan. But here are some of our top activities:
Wine Sampling Tours
- Check out wineries and vineyards in neighboring areas like Lodi or El Dorado County. P.S. California wines have even outranked wines in Italy (read: The Judgment of Paris)
- Reserve a winery tour for a group that visits multiple locations.
- Consider having a wine-tasting activity for your bridesmaids and groomsmen at the wedding.
Outdoor Activities
- Coordinate a group hike in the foothills of Sierra Nevada.
- For swimming, boating or hiking, plan a day trip to Lake Tahoe.
- Set up an American River rafting trip.
- Folsom Lake has water sports rentals and picnic areas available
- The El Dorado national forest is also a great place to recreate and disconnect.
Historical Experiences
- Go on an Old Sacramento tour, which includes riding inside historic steam trains.
- Visit California State Railroad Museum
- See Auburn, Placerville, or Sutter Creek; which are all historic Gold Rush towns
- Organize gold panning for guests
- Visit the Folsom Historic District (yes, Folsom, like Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash!)
Medley Activities
- Take a scenic train ride through the Sierra Nevada foothills that combines history with natural beauty.
- Apple Hill offers wine tasting, apple picking and historical orchard sites to visit.
- Have picnics at parks such as William Land Park or Capitol Park where there are many places to explore historically
- Visit some of your animal besties at the Sacramento Zoo.
Unique Local Experiences
- Go on farm-to-fork dining experiences that highlight Sacramento’s agricultural roots
- Sunset river cruises can be taken on the Sacramento River.
- Culture and history can be learned at Crocker Art Museum
For Larger Groups
- Scavenger hunts are great activities for groups of people in downtown Sacramento near many historical landmarks.
- Arrange tours around California State Capitol which is commonly known as “People’s House.”
Are there other Sacramento wedding venues worth visiting?
Absolutely! Everyone has a different style and budget and no two outdoor reception spaces are alike. We have a long list! A *few* noteworthy venues include Old Sugar Mill, Firehouse Restaurant, River Highlands Ranch, Lake Natoma Inn, Catta Verdera Country Club, Sequoia Mansion by Wedgewood Weddings, Viaggio Winery, The Sterling Hotel, Yin Ranch, Scribner Bend Vineyards, Arcade Underground, Magnolia Ballroom at Kimpton Sawyer Hotel, and Stand Ready Ranch. For more options, such as winery wedding venues, ballroom reception venues, barn venues, forest venues, budget venues, and farm wedding venues, browse The Knot Worldwide to discover additional venues in and around Sacramento. Hotels and resort venues can range from $5,000 to $80,000, depending on the amenities and the venue size. And, of course, if you’re renting the venue only or choosing an all-inclusive package.
