Yes! Due to demand, Friday – Sunday are 50-150 guests. We do offer a micro wedding if you have 50 or fewer guests, available Monday – Thursday.

You are going to love the Luxe Villa. It’s one of those places you have to see for yourself. We offer two packages with overnight stays at the Villa, plus you can also add the Barn suites for 6-12 more guests.

Yes! 100% totally private, which is very valuable. There won’t be any “tastings” pulling up on your group, or another wedding in the back40 while yours is going on.

Your planner will design a layout and plan in advance. The Estate Villa Terrace provides relief from the elements and the Barn holds 99 guests. If you want to take it a step further, we have several tent vendors on our preferred vendor list to give you more shelter.

Yes! We want you to look #HotGirlSummer 💅🏻without feeling overheated in that beautiful dress! One of the advantages of our venue is that our property is 150 acres. All 150 private acres are YOURS. We require an on-site shuttle for transporting your besties that you will reserve with your wedding. Shuttle costs start at $300. And trust us, your besties will seriously appreciate some A/C on that short shuttle ride!

Plenty! We have three spacious parking lots for a total of 127 spots.

Yes, we’ve had plenty of wildfires in California and don’t need to start any more! 🐻 Our favorite send-offs are glow sticks, bubbles, cold sparks, and ribbon wands. We do not allow sparklers, fireworks, or anything that can start a wildfire.

Planning Your Wedding

We have plenty! Our wedding dream team will provide you with a full list for room-blocks for your guest’s ease of mind. Sacramento is our closest airport, only an hour from our venue.

100% yes! We do require a planner. Trust us. A wedding planner will make your journey enjoyable, not stressful, and save you money. We have a list of planners for you to choose from, ranging from $2,500 – $8,500, so you can find the right fit to meet your vision and financial comfort zone.

Hmm, if you want a *yawn* cookie-cutter type of wedding, 100% yes.

Black Oak is so different and special, that if we chose to be all-inclusive, brides would start having the same wedding with the same stuff and the same… everything. 

That’s not what we want for you.  All-inclusive has been trending for a few years, but our ideal couple is looking for an extraordinary wedding experience that doesn’t look like everyone else’s. Plus, you have us + your creative planner to customize your wedding and handle your unique vendors to bring your incredible vision to life.

If you want an extraordinary, outrageous wedding, then take a tour of BOMV, and you’ll have the wedding everyone said doesn’t exist, but you know in your heart, does.

It poses as “cheaper”, but in the end, may not be. Almost always there are hidden costs and up-charges. Many of the ‘included items’ are built into the overall price and catch brides who feel the whole process is overwhelming. It seems easier to book a place that includes everything. But they don’t need to feel overwhelmed….putting all of this together is on your wedding planner. They have access to better pricing than you can get, and are able to book GREAT vendors for you. They do it all, so we know they are crucial to the process.

All depends on what you want for your big day, bestie. Most couples spend at least $38,000 on their wedding (venue, planner, catering, florals, photos, bar). Catering costs around $50-$150 per person depending on the meal and style.

We know you want to have your dream wedding and save money while at it. One of the best ways couples save money at our venue is by having a weekday wedding and lowering their guest count. You only want your besties on your wedding day anyway, right?

Sometimes, hosting a mini destination wedding and a weekday wedding will automatically lower your guest count because guests will opt out due to work or cost.But think about this: Do you want to have the wedding venue of your dreams…with your closest friends and family, or does it have to be on a Saturday just because? (We choose venue > day of week!)

As soon as you feel ready and comfortable! Our venue typically books out 9-36 months, and couples tend to book their wedding 9-12 months from their date. But if you’re feeling whimsical, we can produce incredible weddings within a few months (if your date is available).  Once you’ve locked down the venue you can make sure you get the best vendors for your wedding. The longer lead time, the more likely they are available.

We offer a micro wedding package, Sunday – Thursday, for up to 50 guests.

Umm…yes please! Show us your furry besties. All we ask is that you designate a human bestie to take care of your baby up until the ceremony and then transport them back afterward.

Your wedding planner and decor team may arrive 2 hours before your contracted start time. The Planner and all other vendors have 1 hour after your contracted end time to clean up.

Can we come earlier?

Yes! You are able to purchase more time if you dream of getting your hair and makeup done in your bridal suite. Additional hours are $800 per hour. Note: The overnight package or Full Weekend package makes the property yours, so you can take as much time as you want to get the event ready, no limits.

It’s 25% down to reserve your wedding date. Yes, you can bring your fur baby to the ceremony. Yes, we have a precious Little Black Book of Vendors to help you create your perfect day.
