Black Oak Mountain Vineyards is STUNNING! Once you see this venue, you can’t unsee it; every square inch of this place is gorgeous. There is no other venue to book your wedding in this area that even comes close to comparison. This place is beautiful, and the people working here are wonderful. Jane communicates excellently and is with you 100% of the way, and she has an amazing team behind her. The wonderful staff ensures everything is how you imagined on your special day. I would recommend Black Oak Mountain Vineyards to anyone in a heartbeat and without hesitation! Thank you, BOMV! We had the most amazing day!

The package includes both the Villa and Vineyard Club. Your celebration will be “progressive,” transitioning from the panoramic Ceremony Hill, to the Estate Terrace for cocktail hour, and concluding at the Black Oak Vineyard Club for the Reception and an incredible celebration. Nestled among the vineyards, The Black Oak Vineyard Club stands out as the ultimate party venue. With its moody interiors and seductive lounge/speakeasy vibe, it offers games, fire pits, and swaying basket swings. Refer to it as the AFTER HOURS lounge. Festivities can extend late into the night.

4 Ceremony Spaces

Our private estate features four ceremony sites and outdoor wedding venues to say I Do, plus a rain backup plan. These include the 360° Edge of the World Site, Viewing Deck at the Villa, Grand Oak Tree, and Meadow Hitching site. Most couples choose the 360° Site or the Viewing Deck. It’s really hard to choose just one, though.

We chose to go with the 3-day wedding package at this venue, and that was the absolute best decision we could have made for one of the best wedding experiences. We had our wedding on a Thursday, which saved some money. The whole experience was amazing and seamless. The venue itself is breathtaking, clean, and very well-polished. We loved hosting our “Welcome Dinner/Rehearsal” at the venue the night before and then being able to wake up and get ready for the wedding day without having to stress about getting there on time since we were already on site. The staff at BOMV is very accommodating and flexible. We booked our wedding date 16 months ago, and Jane quickly responded to my emails. Multiple guests say this was the best wedding they have ever attended. We could not recommend BOMV enough. DO IT!!!

FAQs About Black Oak & Planning Your Private Estate Wedding

What is the capacity of the venue?

• Up to 150 guests, or 200 for an extra charge.

Are there noise restrictions or curfews we should be aware of?

• Outside noise must conclude by 10 PM, but we can host a silent disco and after-hours at the Vineyard Club until 1 AM.

What is the backup plan for inclement weather?

• We have two indoor spaces that we can move to in case of inclement weather. You don’t need to worry about the weather for your wedding day; take things as they come day by day, and if we need to switch at the last minute, we can do so. Usually, rain clears up quickly, so you can keep celebrating outside if you want.

Is there a list of preferred vendors, or can we bring our own?

• Yes, we have a little black book of vendors here and we would love to share it with you if you are keen to take a tour of Black Oak.

What is the alcohol policy? Is there a corkage fee?

• BYOB. No corkage fees.

Is there on-site parking available? If not, what are the transportation options?

• Yes, we have plenty of parking, but we also require an on-site shuttle to transport guests from the Club to the Villa.

Are there accommodations nearby for guests not staying on-site?

• There are plenty of hotels, Airbnbs, VRBO, and of course onsite lodging right here.

Is there a bridal suite or getting-ready spaces available?

• Yes, we have two separate ready rooms.

What makes Black Oak unique compared to other private estate home venues in California?

• There is nothing quite like Black Oak. Desert, sustainable landscaping in Northern California, with onsite lodging designed by a highly-awarded architect and interior designer. The Vineyard Club isn’t your typical boring reception space. It feels warm and inviting, not boring or stuffy. Plus, you can have a 9-10 hour wedding, not the usually 5-6 hours that most venues provide.

Is Black Oak a luxury estate wedding venue?

• Yes, but many define luxury as different things. We value our sustainable property and organic farming practices, with high-end touches in our interior spaces.

Is The Villa a mansion?

• Technically, a mansion is 5,000 square feet. The Villa is 4,000 feet. The estate villa is beautiful with mountain-modern architecture. Soaring ceilings, a master suite with additional guest bedrooms, and wall-to-wall glass windows. The Estate has a salt infinity pool with a heated spa, 2 fire pits, an outdoor terrace/lounge area that is luxurious and serene, grand candles, lush lawns, a sound system inside and out, a pantry prep kitchen and main kitchen, and access to the famous Black Oak 360 Hilltop for ceremonies with views to the Sierras and back.
